Sustainability at Nura Lab

Precious Metal Recycling Initiative

At Nura Lab, we believe fine jewellery should be crafted with greater care — not only in how it looks, but in how it is made. Our Precious Metal Recycling Initiative focuses on recovering gold and platinum from the jewellery-making process to reduce waste and support a more responsible future for fine jewellery.

Why It Matters

Luxury with Less Waste

Gold and platinum are valuable, finite materials. During the creation, resizing, polishing, and repair of jewellery, small amounts of precious metal can naturally be produced as filings, dust, shavings, and offcuts.

Rather than allowing these materials to be lost, we collect and send them for professional refining, helping reduce unnecessary waste and supporting a more circular approach to jewellery production.

Our Process

Collected, Refined, Reused

Throughout our workshop processes, precious metal remnants are carefully gathered and separated for recovery. These materials are then sent to a professional refinery, where the gold and platinum content is extracted and refined for reuse.

This helps valuable materials re-enter the wider supply chain, reducing waste while maintaining the premium standards expected in fine jewellery production.

It is a simple but meaningful step toward a more thoughtful jewellery industry.

Simple Answer

Why Recycle Precious Metals?

Because every gram of gold and platinum matters. Recovering workshop materials helps reduce waste, conserve resources, and support a more responsible approach to fine jewellery without compromising on quality or beauty.

What It Means for You

Responsible Craftsmanship, Modern Fine Jewellery

Our recycling initiative reflects the way we think about jewellery at Nura Lab modern, thoughtful, and designed with long-term value in mind.

It means choosing a brand that values responsible material use, careful craftsmanship, and a more considered production process behind every piece.

True luxury is not only about appearance. It is also about intention, care, and how something is made.
